I am The Extreme Digital Nomad
. I write code. Always and everywhere.
Right now I am in Athens Airport (in the FloCafe). I am sitting down. I plug in my laptop and connect to the internet. I go to my browser (to finish my installation of LibreChat (highly recommended; more on that in a separate blog post)) and realize that my mouse pointer is suddenly moving erratically. What the hell …
I am rebooting. No change.
Then (after googling for a solution on my phone for half an hour) I am stumbling over this article and I am unplugging the power-supply and everything goes back to normal. And then I plug it in again and can see the problem again. Then I try the next power plug (in FloCafe) and it still does not work. Then I go to StarBucks next door and it works.
Exec Summary: The touch-pad will not work right, if the power-supply is not grounded correctly. It might be only one plug that is not working or all plugs in the venue. In the worst case you need to go to a different building.
This one goes into the TEDN-TIL
